15 Principles of Motivation Part 1 – Character Ways
The five character ways establishes the foundation in which you not only stay motivated but become successful in life as well. Essentially it is all about the mind. How you see, feel and view the world. Motivation is about training your mind to a have a positive mindset in every aspect of life. This is important as it is natural to have a negative mindset. In other words, people normally see the obstacles in life and not the opportunities.
In fact, research has found that the average person’s thoughts are 85% dominated by negative and self-limiting perspectives that promote fear and self-doubt in the subconscious. These thoughts of fear and self-doubt translates into self-destructive behavior (for example but not limited to, procrastination, inaction. decline in self-esteem to completely abandoning one’s dreams).
In order to unlock your hidden greatness one must be cognizant of the make-up of the human mind and proactively work to cultivate thoughts that encourage creativity and bravery. You must continuously operate outside of your comfort zone to tap into your potential.
Motivated people are dreamers by nature. They vision ideas, goals and products that no one else can see. And the path to manifest those dreams are filled with adversity, obstacles and failures. In order to conquer any obstacle, risk or setback that you encounter you must know yourself inside and out. You must believe in yourself. To go a step further, you must become the person your goals require. Lastly, you must also fall in love with the process and not the timeline.
